Grooming gang scandal

I don’t discount what you say but the massive Islam vs west war has been raging for a while with quite a few million Muslims more than happy to join in wouldn’t you say?

I don't discount what you say either but you may want to take a look at this book at some point:

The title of Kurzman's book is obviously provocative but he has not been shy about defending his thesis from its many critics. See this link

In particular, you might want to take a look at Kurzman's response to Bernard Haykel's question.

Samuel Huntington's famous 'Clash of Civilisations' theory, which underpins the Islam v West narrative, is looked at here:

I used to have a whole book on this issue that also looked at his Manichaean theory from an empirical perspective. Unfortunately, I donated it to a charity shop without having read it. Maybe I should reacquire it.

Interesting that me saying this

Should bring out such nastiness in you?

Another who just can’t stand anyone who isn’t on “their side” all the time.
It's the new move of trying to close down debate/criticism, grooming gangs have been discussed on here previously and quite a bit, I know it, you know it and they know it. They tried to deflect then with the usual hints at racism without the balls to actually come out and say it.

It shows how low they have gone, oh you you didn't care about raped children before. Fuckin state of them.

Bless.

Do you mean Rachel Reeves ?
Politicians are there to represent us, not necessarily to have expertise in the relevant field. That's what advisers are for.

Who was the last Secretary of State for Health who was a medical doctor? Who was the last Secretary of State for Education who was a teacher? Who was the last Prime Minister with prior experience of being in charge of a whole country?

What I mean is that if you work in the public sector and have a few letters behind your name, the employer assumes you can do anything, whether you can or not. Training? What's that? It's quite flattering in a way, but it's not a recipe for maximising efficiency.

I’m glad Andy burnham and other labour mps are calling for an enquiry. We haven’t had a proper national conversation about this and lot of the recommendations weren’t even implemented.

What happened is a national scandal, involving huge cover up. The innocent girls who have had their lives ruined were basically ignored by social services, police and government. We need to highlight and see why these things happened.

it’s still going on and we need to put a stop to it. Elon musk and other nut jobs are irrelevant. We should be sorting out our problems either way

Had their chance to vote for one and didn't take it. Even that slug Amesbury followed the whip he has lost.

I have a far bigger issue with any mp that voted for that amendment than against it.

Not averse to seeing an actual vote on it in parliament though.

There is an ignore button if you'd prefer not to interact with WUMs who are just completely unreasonable.

There's no changing their minds so why bother.

We had an enquiry…… it cost £200 million and came up with 20 recommendations, none of which were implemented by the Tories.

Shouldn’t we give those a try first?

He replied to another poster who he follows around the forum not me, it's a form of bullying I suppose but if one is not concerned about the welfare of children over trying and failing to have a pop at a poster it's his problem.

And what did the enquiry say specifically about grooming gangs in Rochdale, Rotherham and Telford? Were grooming gangs elsewhere also looked into to see if there were any connections. How much info was gained from victims themselves and how many people in authority have lost their jobs.
The enquiry itself came up with some good ideas in general and some of/all of them should see the light a day as is or with tweaking.
However it was a very general.inquiry and a more detailed specific one on behalf of the thousands of victims is needed imho.

There is also the other argument that govts should be capable of doing more than one thing at once.

I'm.pretty sure if it wasn't the bellend Musk certain posters wouldn't be so reticent about it but such is the fucked up thought process of some on here.

I mean it's raped kids here.

Musk is a dick
An inquiry for the victims and future safeguarding
In the meantime put the recommendations from the general enquiry into place ASAP.

should it really be this hard?

But hey just political point score instead.

Why does there need to be multiple localised inquiries?

Child rape is child rape. Whether it's carried out by X or Y.

The methods they used, the so called "loverboy" method of a handsome boyfriend buttering up victims for gangs or punters isn't isolated to Pakistanis. It's commonly used by Romanian gangsters on teenage victims, Andrew and Tristan Tate bragged about using it on adults.

Do you think areas without large populations of Asian or Pakistani men don't have problems with child sexual abuse and grooming of teenage girls?

The common theme was that these were vulnerable girls involved with the care system.

Who had been dragged up, not brought up, who had chaotic and traumatic upbringings, who had been neglected by their parents, exposed to the adult world at an early age. Who sometimes wanted to act older than their age, before the monsters exploited their vulnerability.

Why waste money on inquiry after inquiry.

Implement the recommendations or do something that will actually change things.

Get experts in the field, senior judges on child protection, senior police officers, specialist child exploitation police officers, senior social workers, directors of children's social care and get them to tell us how we can make the system better and what resources they need.

lol at the bullying claim from the bloke who insults everybody he responds to.

The oppression knows no bounds.

It's particularly amusing as the "bullied" bloke has been asked to mutually ignore by myself several times (and yourself I think) and never taken up the offer. And is as guilty as anyone of following people around.

Indeed. Also ironic in it trying to shut down the debate too.

I never got to find out his motive. Shame.
