It’s a difficult one. The amount of corruption throughout government, police and social services is clearly rife. Perhaps not having someone from those 3 institutions.

We can’t ignore the people/ victims who have resigned though and basically only go off people who agree with the government.

I don't see why we couldn't get a judge from somewhere like Canada or Australia, someone with experience of running a public enquiry, knowledgeable in UK law (though not needing to be an expert because they could be assisted by a UK legal expert as necessary), but with no connection to the UK. I am sue if you lobbed a few million quid in the pot for the job, there would be plenty of suitable, capable and unbiased volunteers.

I see one of the members of the Rochdale groomers who the Govt have been seeking to deport for the last 10 years has done a runner. The fact that after 10 years he was still allowed to fight the case partially on the grounds that he was a role model to his teenage son takes some understanding. Talk about taking the piss.
