Grounds where you have watched City from all four stands.

Re: Grounds where you have watched City from all four stands

highbury
Stamford bridge
old Trafford

ive done two stands at the Etihad , but im thinking of renewing my Chelsea season ticket

Re: Grounds where you have watched City from all four stands

Too hard core for me. Grounds where I've watched City from the 'home' end (1 stand only) though, are:

Klanfield
Goodison
Stamford Bridge
Highbury
Selhurst Park (Wimbledon)
Sixfields (Northampton)
Home Park (Plymouth)

The only one I was brave enough to let rip in was Northampton, when Dickov equalised in the last minute for a Desmond

Did them all at Maine Road, old, new and Gene Kelly

Re: Grounds where you have watched City from all four stands

Maine Road, Old Trafford, Elland Road.

If non-first team matches count then I can add Chassen Road where I saw City's A and B teams play and it was possible to walk around the ground during the match.

Re: Grounds where you have watched City from all four stands

Well this one has done for me, been hundreds of City away games but best I can do is Villa x3

Opp main stand (Witton Ln?) 81 FACup sf

North stand loads of times through 80's and 90's

Main Stand - Charity Shield 2012

And 3 at Blackburn.

Re: Grounds where you have watched City from all four stands

Huddersfield in the 60's, the whole stand of City fans behind the goal changed ends at half time.

IIRC, this was not the only time this happened in them (good old) days.

Old Trafford. The only ground outside Maine rd. one game however wasn't against the rags. It was against some other team in the seventies. I was stood in the paddock opposite their main stand. I won't tell you. See if any oldies can guess game and competition.

Luton second reply in the League Cup?

That gives me 3 sides at the swamp as well. I'd forgotten about that game.

Re: Grounds where you have watched City from all four stands

Definitely Villa Park (family friends are Villa fans and used to take me to the City games); possibly Spurs (grew up in Bedford so plenty of Spurs fans at school would take me along when we played there).

I made a decision after the away derby in December 2006 that I'd never again sit with opposition fans. Having to stand up when Utd put three past us and yet remain seated when Trabelsi hit that belter was too painful to bear.

Luton or possibly Walsall in 73-74

I remember watching us playing Bury at the swamp in the mid 80s

thats the one. Low gate that night but it still felt packed in the paddock. Convinced the swamp should have had a much reduced capacity after that game.
