Growing Chillies

My local boozer does a burger with ghost chilli marinated pulled pork and ghost chilli sauce. Have had it twice and it is fucking delicious. However, given what I've seen on youtube and such and such, I can only imagine the ghost chilli is dipped in the sauce they give you for a couple of seconds and then removed completely (which I'm glad about) as, whilst it is very hot, it isn't the inferno I expected!

How's the reapers coming on Paphos?

Coming along mate. My stock of chilli sauce and jam are very low. Had a customer tonight who wanted his Vindaloo with a 'kick', 2 chopped Morougas fried before the sauce and chicken was added helped a little bit. Could of sworn I heard 'Medic' being shouted in the restaurant. He left all calm and mellow, looking a bit pale. Hope he comes back, seemed a decent bloke.

Hahahaha!! "Medic" - nice one. Hope it all goes brilliantly - the chillies and the restaurant mate.

just read up on the moruga and carolina reaper.
Some say the latter is unstable atm due to it being such a new cross, true for you or ?

Doing good pal, They'll be outside in a week or so. They're an F1 strain, or so I'm led to believe, only problem I have is that all my varieties are within feet of each other, so who knows what the fucking bees will be doing by cross pollinating. I'll have inbred chillies. Be like walking through Stoke on a Saturday afternoon. If you want to keep the strain 'pure' you have to a) keep them indoors or b) keep your plants a couple of miles apart as bees can only fly for short distances. Soon as I get some 'flowering' or pod development, I'll post some pics. Been busy developing recipes for new curries for the last couple of weeks. Working on a 'Prawn Phall' recipe for Fetlocks. Should keep me busy

How's the bbq'ing going on mate? Any new ventures? Pissed down here for the last couple of days. Strange weather.
 
No mate weather here has been shite, i did another lamb leg the other day and think i have that sorted.
Rub of oil, crushed rosemary, thyme and juice of half bulb of garlic salt and pep, nowt fancy, the bbq does the magic.
The odd spritz of oil to keep it moist and 5 hours 1 in foil and an hour rest gave me the best lamb i have had.

Gonna do some fish soon, red snapper stuffed with crushed lemon grass, ginger and garlic and some balsamic.
I want some good leaves to finish it off in after a little direct heat, any ideas what i can get over here. ?

Good leaves, mmm. Maybe the ones you grow indoors? If it's for flavour kaffir lime leaves. If it's to wrap them in for protection then banana leaves, if you can get them from an Asian store.
