Grown Men Crying....

I was there in 538 and was hugging my son and mates at the around me at the end,I could not believe we at last beat them when we really needed it.But watching skysports news the next day showing city square erupt with joy at the goal and the finish was pretty moving. It brought home how much it meant to us all.

I have not suffered enough with City ( only about the last 4 years) to be crying . But while watching the match and at the end of it , i had goosebumps every other minute.

It was very emotional.
My eyes did indeed well up.
The release of tension at the final whistle.
The realisation that we are very, very close
to tearing down that banner and that we beat
them when it really mattered.
Job needs finishing.

weeman 19_89, there are no strangers at city only blues you have yet to meet + it seems you made a start on that saturday, believe me travelling around europe the last couple of seasons, the laughs i've had with other blues who, when realising i was travelling alone told me to join them, not to mention the hangovers next morning !

I definitely think that the dross served up at Anfield last Monday and Tevez missing only HEIGHTENED the sheer elation at the end.

Because most of those red charlatans have never suffered anguish or sunk to our depths, they cannot empathise with us, so mock.

Well, fuck em - we all saw the anger and bitterness in their eyes after the game - don't let one of those twats say that beating City means nothing.

I cried when we scored with pure ecstasy, the next half an hour was a wreck for me.

There were tears flowing, praying that we weren't going to mess it up, every know and again I'd burst into tears and say to my dad 'they can't do it to is again can they?'. It meant so much to me!

My dad being the man he is told me to man up, I knew he was thinking the same though!

When the final whistle went, I'd never hugged my dad like that before in my life!

Thanks dad, I know I've let you down sometime but I'm so happy you made me a blue!

Celebrated like a loon after
The whistle and round the pubs of wembley and London . No tears but close, and some serious hugging and singing. "city, we're coming back again. City , we're coming back again" was our song.

Got back to the hotel at some unearthly hour after 12 hours on the piss. Had a little jazz fag to calm myself down and put my phone on charge as it had gone flat during the game.

First message I opened was a video clip from my wife timed just after the game of my three kids(all 4 or under) in city stuff doing the Poznan on the settee 200 miles away.

Then I filled up
