Grown Men Crying....

Some beautiful, heart-breaking stories on this thread. I salute you all.
Can I send a special shout to Dale in 548 row 10, 242ish, sent his rag missus to queue for his ticket and had four Wembley-priced hot dogs during the game.
And the family directly behind me on row 11 with the young kids, when we scored I high fived the little uns and thought how lucky they are to be born in this era and not 20, 30 or even 40 years earlier.
It was a magical day but won't mean shit if we don't win the cup.

I was a bit reluctant to take my nipper for his first visit to Wembley and also his first Derby experience.

So glad i did and wouldn't of changed it for the world, it's a moment and a memory that both him and i will take to the grave.

A moment in which i was so glad that supporting this great club had been passed down the family and how proud i was at being able to pass it down.

had a couple of tears thinking my dad should be here.Had the fatal heart attack exactly a year ago same weekend we played united strangely.Sure he was watching and willing City on.

-- Wed Apr 20, 2011 1:03 am --

Those of you who know me, will know my younger brother and best friend died not so long ago; I miss him so much when I go to the game now, but I swear I still hear him shouting.

So I took his funeral service card with me to Wembley and held it aloft with his beaming smiley face gazing out over the Stadium at the final whistle. I'm not ashamed to saw I was weeping and sobbing for a few seconds.... so were the other 7 mates of mine (and our kids).

So emotional! He is coming to the Final with me as well now.

I always take my dads season card from last season, and give it a kiss before each game for luck.

C'mon then - hands up, who shed tears. I'm not ashamed to admit I did. Cried like a baby for 5 minutes at the final whistle. Got dragged out of a pub in Brussels screaming Bluemoon at the top of my lungs...

And just now...

Watched the second half again...seeing Roberto and the boys doing the Poznan - I welled up again. It's amazing just how powerful an experience it has turned out to be beating them good and proper. Seeing everyone together. Unified. Jesus, will this emotion pass before our next match...I just don't know.

I was a bag of nerves but at that final whistle i cried like a 2 year old whos jus had its dummy taken away.Havin suffered in 1981 (both games-replay with a broken arm )& missin out on tickets fer 99 -It made up fer all that & was twice as sweet as we finally did "them" & we dint scrape that win-we outplayed them! The boys on the terraces outsang the cockneys & adrian chiles dig on itv was pricesless "man u fans know how to vacate a stadium-theyll be home in time for the end of this show" pmsllllllllllllll
Brilliant day-many more to come if we have that effort & that support :)
