Grunge

Anything Chris touched turned to gold. Even Audioslave.

his collaboration with whats-his-chops on his scream album begs to differ.

Huge fan of the guy, the bands he was in, solo suff, but that one was a swing and a miss.

Little bits of Scream were decent but it was mostly poor.

Some time after it flopped, he released 'rock' versions of some of the songs off the album. They were pretty decent songs with the overproduction removed. The writing was there, but the sound they went for killed it.

Euphoria Morning on the other hand, was brilliant.

I never got into grunge at all, but Chris Cornell, Layne Stayley, and Eddie Vedder were/are objectively incredible singers.
Grew up with Soundgarden, amongst others here. I found Ronnie James Dio later in life, made me want to go back to Soundgarden, which I felt would be a compliment to Chris Cornell. Both rock vocalists from the absolute top drawer.
