I thought about the following thread this morning.
I was posting on this somewhat serious thread around three weeks ago and then Sam came in and did his usual leftfield quip which took it in a totally different direction, as he had done with no little skill on numerous previous occasions. In true off-topic (as it was then known) style the thread then descended into madness for an hour or so. That was his genius

I tried to keep up with Sam but every time I posted something I thought was hilarious he came back and pissed all over it. Sam was a very bright guy and I believe that his jocular persona meant that sometimes that was overlooked. He was also a very sensitive soul when the time was right.
I'm glad I met him, but I still can't believe he's gone.

Me too. But he didn't realise that I'm just as unpopular with the Chaps as I am with the Ladies.
I took a good natured dig when I asked whether Blackpool Rock was Halal and Kosher because I didn't want to offend my Muslim and Jewish friends, neighbours and Colleagues with my presents. That's the last time I ask anything on Bluemoon!
