PS3 doesn't have region lock, but like I said earlier you will have trouble with DLC.

What's DLC?

It's direct line communication. It means that when playing online your PS3 will have to triangulate a circumfery signal that navigates 83.2% of the country. ;)

lol...

DLC in gaming means DownLoadable Content. So you'll buy a game, such as GTA, and you might be able to download extra new cars for a few quid.

WUM! :P

I've got a minor dilemma.

Upgraded my phone recently and I knew GTA3 was available to download so when I searched the market for GTA, Vice City came up too.

Both are only £2.99 so I could easily get both, but I don't want to yet. I want to play one story at a time. When I complete one I'll download the other.

I played Vice City to death and loved it, but didn't play much of GTA3 due to not having a console at the time. That said, it was years ago I last played Vice City so the details of the story I have forgotten, even if the map will be familiar after a few mins.

Which do I get first? Trip down memory lane with VC or brand new game with GTA3? Anyone played both on mobile?

Easy answer, Vice City. It's better than GTA 3 and if you can't remember much of VC you may as well get that as it's better. VC has the best soundtrack a game has ever had in my opinion.

Vice City.

Better soundtrack, locations, missions, characters and vehicles. There are no motorbikes or helicopters or wide vehicle choices in GTA 3. Just cars, the odd boat, and one plane that is stupidly hard to fly.

Vice City was an immense game. Great locations, characters, music.

But there is something about GTA3 that is very special. Getting in trouble with the Triads etc. Think the atmosphere of GTA3 is excellent and not been replicated to that level in any instalment since.

Got both on my phone, GTA 3 has more to do and the gangs are vicious...but Vice City is...erm...Vice fucking City!

Great to look at, listen to and to ride around on a Hog whilst finding all the decent jumps!

My thoughts precisely.

It's a seminal moment, our first foray into the GTA world without it being top-down, cartoony style! GTA 3 will always remain one of my faves, despite its shortfalls and bugs.
