Sorry I cannot get the very nice graphics image in here, maybe someone else can, but the Guardian has a formation and team with Kaka & RSC in it here lined up in a 4-1-4-1:-

<a class="postlink" href="http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2009/jan/15/manchester-city-kaka-milan-transfer" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2009 ... n-transfer</a>

- RSC -

Rob ~ Kaka - Ireland ~ SWP

- Kompany -

Bridge - Richards - Dunne - Zab

- Hart -

I'm not so sure about this, considering our biggest problem is we've been leaking the goals when things have not been going right. On paper it looks very nice, but given our actual form I'm not so sure...

Do we need a bit more metal in there or is our manager about to 'Bridge' our defensive failings?

Villa for Santa Cruz and ANYONE in place of the flowerpot men. You cannot play that lot with Dunne and Richards at the back EVEN on top of their game. We have got to have two CBs who can a. pass, b. are comfortable going forward, c. don't get caught ball watching, d. can concentrate every minute of every game. Hart has to go as well, to the bench.

Agger would be a top buy for me, can play the ball and will only get better. If we could get a centre back with a decent football brain in then either Dunne or Micah could still be first choice players for me. A younger version of Distin.

I was thinking more along the lines of the above on the 4-1-4-1 regarding the midfield formation; of course we would like Kaka in there, but isn't our midfield still looking a bit light?
