Guardian's 4-1-4-1 Kaka formation (any thoughts?)

Right heres my effort (this is also presuming we buy a De Jong or another DM).

I know there is no striker but I don't think we'd have too much problem with goals.

I was thinking more along the lines of the above on the 4-1-4-1 regarding the midfield formation; of course we would like Kaka in there, but isn't our midfield still looking a bit light?

I'm afraid to say I agree with that article. If Kaka signs and no defensive players are brought in we've a good chance of being embarrassed before too long.

I really don't favour Robinho on the wing. I feel he plays better when pushed up front in that free role. I think it'd work best with Kaka on the other side.

Plenty of time yet, I fancy one or two defenders and a striker to come in yet. I think VK will stay where he is, he & de Jong could be a midfield match made in heaven.

If Hughes did go with a 4141, then VK could well drop into defence, leaving it looking like this;

Both could work well, I would hate to see Ireland left out of any City team right now, as good as he is playing this season.
