I support Pep whatever, as will his bosses.thinking about it today,he is paid by us to do a job that includes being on the touchline for games, how far does this go when it's a conflict of interest, everyone knows he is the jailed catalans highest profile supporter and that won't change, when does he put his job first? i'm still up for fans wearing as much yellow tomorrow as possible and for the rest of the season in his place if needed, just musing, whatever sticks it to the fa is fine by me but i support city firstly
Yes. Of course it is.
Were the English polled on whether the Scots could vote? Did the English get a vote in the actual referendum?
Self determination is a key tenet of democracy. Ask the Falkland Islanders.

It is mate. I just feel the club will argue it’s not a political act but a show of solidarity with two of his friends who are in jail.Sorry SWP my point was not clear, I was not expressing a political opinion but playing devils advocate on how the other side of the argument could view the same symbolic act and therefore why sport adopts a blanket ban as it would have to arbitrate on what is a justifiable argument/legitimate protest and by virtue of adopting that stance could be considered expressing or supporting such a viewpoint.
Just as an example if english players wore political symbols on the Uks independence on europe, scots players on independence and the fa allowed it, would it then be considered as equally acceptable if Argentinian or Spanish players commented on Falklands or Gibraltar or a step further players commentated on the Palestine issue?
I appreciate that is a step further than the yellow ribbon but sports by the way of a blanket ban try not to become involved in making these moral judgements and setting the parameters/boundaries of what is acceptable.
Of course the flip side is Peps right to express his beliefs and opinions abd his rights to freedom of expression. Its a very complex issue.
Oh yeah we would never sack him rightly so and the club and everyone will support him,i was just musing over if there will be some sort of tipping point,i would never not back him on this, you match goers need to get the yellow out as well,i despise the fa,leg breakers ok but this is notWe can either back him or sack him Karen. I feel we have to back him because he’s being unfairly singled out. It’s no surprise mourinho called him out before the derby, he’s probably been on to the FA weekly about it On the quiet and to and David Gill, who conveniently still sits on the board of directors and man united.
If the fans show solidarity and make their voices heard at games the FA will crawl back under their rock
I think the fact they're not only serves to prove that they're not actually that arsed about the cause at all.Would it not be better to collect for the With Catalonia group that are raising money to support the political prisoners maybe?
