Guardiola's Tactical Flexibility

he will play his formation depending what set of players he have. with barca 4-6-0 false nine, and bayern with many formation. what i do know is, he will sort out the midfield. that his top priority. i like his flexibility. he will learn a lot about his opponent and find their weakness to exploit.

it's interesting to see how our team can cope tactically when Pep decided to play with 3 CB at the back. last time we are not so well with Mancini.

Thanks for posting this and it should definitely be in its own thread otherwise it just gets lost within the huge Pep main thread. Fascinating read.

Get reading Guardiola confidential. Cracking insight into his tactics. He's well aware of our defensive frailties from playing them in the Audi cup and the Champions League

Let's hope we, the fans, have more patience though when Pep does change formation. I remember the outcry when Mancini flirted wth 3 at the back...

When Bayern beat us 1-0 last season, Pep used four different tactical setups throughout the match to break us down.

He leaves no stone unturned, and he's constantly looking for new innovative ways to enhance his side. We've genuinely signed the Messi of managers.

I thought Thierry Henry's insight into him on SKY last night was pretty interesting. Spoke about how he deals with the players and how he changes formations all the time through games. It seems to me he manages and changes formations like he has an aerial view of hte game and can instantly see where the gaps are appearing and which players are not doing what they should be.

Hart's distribution although much improved will definitely be a key change we will see. Passing out from the back instead of launching it will be a regular sight I reckon.

Was that the game that Pellegrini was banned for? I remember thinking "This is genius, he's adjusting his tactics on the fly, knowing that the opposition manager can't react accordingly (or quickly)"
