Guidetti being linked with a loan move to Swansea by the looks of it.

I would think this is a fantastic move if true assuming he secures regular first team performances.

Great move for John this. Swansea like to play football so if and when he returns to us the "passing" game will not be new to him. Also, looking at their main strikers they only really have Graham and Moore. Moore apart from the goal against us is shite and would Graham score 20 goals in Holland ? I expect him to be a genuine starter there and develop into a real gem under BR. Plus I can scout him when i'm home from uni lol (live in swansea - uni in warwick).

Would love to devop a relation with Swansea as long as Rodgers stays in charge. Excellent club for development of young players such as this. Aren't Brendan and Bobby mates somewhere along the line ? I know he wanted him to come to City as his No. 2

It would be a good move but if he succeeds we really need to give him some assurances next summer as he'll only have one year left on his contract and we nearly lost him for nothing last year... don't want it to happen again, his value is already very high for a striker his age.

Good move for all.

Hope he is over his illness.

John gets to play Premier League football and be tested at that level regularly.

Swansea get a player with potential and lots to prove.

City have a player getting Premier League experience at a footballing club who will improve him.

If he does well and proves himself he may well earn himself a longer contract with us and a place in our squad.

Would love to see this.

Swansea are a great team, who play with a similar passing style of play to us. This will only benefit John and City if he does come back to be in our firs team plans. This certainly wouldn't be the case if he joined a club which played a long ball hit and hope approach.

Not to mention Rodgers is a great manager for him.

at least we will have the opportunity to watch him on a regular basis. fantastic move if it is pulled off!!

imagine if he goes on and scores 15 - 20 goals, we will have some player on our hands.

But would he be a starter?
As they have Danny Graham, leroy lita and that guy who scored against us (cant remember his name).
Plus dont they normally play with one striker? However if he were to get first team experience it would be an excellent move for him and city. Win win for both clubs.

I'm sure the club and Guidetti will both seek assurances on playing time before allowing the move to materialise. He is at his prime development age now.

Maybe a £2m pound fee that will be waivered if he plays in 50% of the games he is available for?

if he isnt good enough to force his way into their team he has no chance of forcing his way into ours.

great move imo

Loan him out until Christmas, then get him back through the busy Christmas period and it'll be like having a new signing.

Whoever takes him on loan will have to think about making him a first team starter because we'll command a £1million+ loan fee for him now. He's gone from the gem of our reserves to one of the most prolific strikers of his age on the continent in the last year and there is great interest in him.

If they carry on playing 4-3-3 I can't see them starting a loanee ahead of a striker they expect to be there for a while. Graham did very well this season, I think it'd be a bit harsh on him.
