Guidetti

it seem jo has scored 77 goals as professional , included a few in the champions league.

but surely the great guidetti lad is a better option.

Jo-in-Russia excuse doesn't work since he tanked several years after that in the Turkish league which is worse than Russia.

Some players just stop being good for whatever reason. Already mentioned Mendieta as a great example, from the most sought-after player in world football to Middlesborough flop in a matter of years.

And Jo could have scored 300 goals in La Liga but if he played like he does in England it means fook all. He'd struggle even at Championship level here because he hates the physicality and getting stuck in. Jay Bothroyd at Cardiff is a better player even.

Guidetti is far, far more suited for English football. He fights for every ball and decision, never stops running, and has a drive to succeed. A grafter but with some actual quality unlike so many of them.

I believe Jo did it from age 18-21 . And the Russian league is decent.
I know jo has done it, that's why I said neither has jo ( in a decent league)

Jo is so obviously not suited to the English league, so why not give someone else a chance?

maybe becouse watching the ""someone else"" everyday on a training pitch every man and his dog can easily see he is NOT ready ?

I think we all knew that. We knew this when we signed him and we were all exited by this stat.

Swedish wonderkid Guidetti snubs new deal at Man City

By SPORTSMAIL REPORTER Last updated at 11:23 PM on 29th April 2011

Manchester City striker John Guidetti is to spark a scramble for his signature after rejecting a new contract.
The Swede, 19, has scored 16 goals in 18 games for the reserves. He was loaned to Burnley this season and has attracted interest from Leicester City.
He said: 'It's a good contract but simply not good enough. There are better alternatives. My contract expires this summer and then it's time to move.'

The guy was average at Burnley. If he's not willing to develop his game and wants instant first team football then cya later.

For anybody thats having a go at Mancini/ City, he was offered a contract but refused.

Most "stars" generally get a look in at International level at a young age, does this kid? No, good player? maybe. Something special? NO
