Dirty, dirty tackle form that no-talent Yacob.
Bad tackle on anyone, what makes it much worse for me was chasing him half the pitch he knew exactly who he was tackling and that it was his first game back after a long injury yet still decided to hack him down.

At some point, the club and even individual players have to start kicking up an almighty stink in the press over this. I am always baffled at how referees in England get away with this. I'd love to see this joke of a referee try this nonsense in say Argentina.

I thought tackling like that from behind was a straight red card?

When you see the whole clip where he chases him the length of the pitch before scissor tackling him from directly behind it makes you wonder what the fuck the referee is thinking.

Fuckwits like that ref are incapable of thinking. Is he the same tosser who booked Aguero a couple of seasons back for diving after he was cleaned out in the oppositions area? May have been away at Southampton. That was unbelievable.

I don't usually wish ill on players; but my word if Yacob doesn't deserve retribution for last night then no player does.
Disgraceful challenge from a disgraceful player. The fact he wasn't sent off for it makes it even worse

I feel really sorry for Gundogan after the time he has had but I can't help being frustrated by the fact he didn't pass the ball. If he's going to get injured he's going to get injured and you can't always avoid it but surely after so long out he should have moved the ball on quicker with Delph to his left & Sterling ahead of him? Hope he makes a quick return as he was excellent.

Don't be daft Chris, you can't play football with a mindset like that. The fault lies with the West Brom player, his manager, and the ref, 100%

That's very true & why I said it can't usually be avoided. I think I'm just upset with his injury & trying to find a way he could have avoided it, he obviously just wasn't expecting that horrible little man to put in an illegal challenge. He was class & will be a big miss again.

We're all very upset, not to mention angry, over this injury and feel desperately sorry for Gundogan. We just need to be clear that only the shithouse player who did it, the shithouse manager that instigated and retrospectively condoned it and the referee that facilitated it by not doing his job properly in the first place were the only people to blame for what happened.
Get well soon Ilkay.
