I don't think we would have won that game tonight without Gundo getting ill.

Fernandinho brings so much to the team on and off the ball and it's so refreshing to see someone in that position passing forward.

It's difficult to say.

We would have been better in the first half with Gundogan. The entire team was pressing brilliantly and those are the kind of games historically where Gundogan looks at his best, when he's got lots of running around him. He's better in possession than Fernandinho and surrounded by mobility he gets to use it freely. That's when we see him pull the strings. We could have been 3 up or better with him in.

We would have been worse in the second half though. The pressing broke down and Fernandinho did a vital job of scrapping about and keeping the middle of the pitch as closed off as possible. We might have conceded a lot more chances and therefore possibly goals without him.
