why do people lose the reasoning of a child when it comes to the gun/person model?

No one is saying it's the gun's fault or that you should be scared of inanimate objects...let me explain it for you:

When you give a child a pencil he understands that the 'condition' of the pencil will affect how he uses it.

He also understands perfectly that if you take the pencil away he wont be able to use it

He understands also that it takes his input to make anything happen when he actually does use it.

Gun crime/ misuse statistics reflect what happens when the gun/person model is used together. Not either of them on their own.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it. The only change I would make in regards to Canadian gun law would be a big fucking magnetic fence at the border between Canada and the yanks.

You could just get bigger guns and blast the shit out of them :)
