superb post BTH - sorry you cannot make it tonight , you are excused - unlike a lot of people who cannot be arsed .

Lay of man if people cant go they can't go I'm sure if they could they would be there. Just enjoy it yourself and have a great time at city's first ever CL game.

i will enjoy it mate - and anyone who cannot go because they cannot afford it or it clashes with something else , that is fine i have no problem at all . but if you cannot be bothered (as a lot of season ticketholders do for home cup games ) that is inexcusable . i went to every home cup match last season yet could not get a wembley final ticket ? no doubt certain people who could not be arsed pre wembley got my seat !

I don't know Noel; it's a bit like reincarnation with one soul passing away and another being born as for the first time in god knows how long, I'm working in Manchester so could go to the game instead of having to watch on the telly.

So we can have another beer together whenever you're free. And we could even do lunchtime as I'm in the city centre.

Fantastic post! Worthy of being in a book! You would probs need to do 2 books after all you've probably been through!!

I wasn't old enough to fully remember my experiences of maine road fully. I am always told that I'm lucky I was born in the 90's as I didn't have to live through loads of shit, to which I always reply "it may be great on the field now but you were there at Maine road when it was greater off the field!"

After all of what I've been told about the place, it makes me want to take the short(ish!) wait I had for a trophy and trade it for a 15 year longer wait so I could see Maine road properly complete with old fashioned terraces!!
