kenwright is a total crank and i agree re him bleeding the club dry. he says each year that the club is for sale yet no buyer ever appears. All of the club's assets have either been sold or mortgaged: this includes the stadium, which acts as security for a £30m loan; future season ticket sales for many years into the future, the method by which the loan is repaid; and the club's own ability to generate future commercial income as they have uniquely sold the rights to both their catering (Sodexo) and merchandising operations (Kitbag). This is why the club has very little money and is always skint; the areas in which they could have made some money, they were completely out of their depth, to the point they made losses. Rather than employ specialists in-house to get these areas profitable, they took the easy option of outsourcing, which got the immediate losses off the books (making them look good to the banks), but at the same time sacrificing any potential growth or profitability for many years to come.

With £45m of debt, no tangible assets to speak of and the smallest squad in the Premier League, Everton now have a negative balance sheet with £35m of liabilities – when Kenwright took control there was £20m of assets.

So the sale of Lescott was no doubt driven by the Banks. I stand corrected.

So why all the s*** from Moyes pre and post sale? And the fallout since.

Let's be honest. Without that money Everton football club would have been........

Jesus he must have gone to the same school of business Swales did!!!

Lescott has been a great servant to us but £24 million was a piss take and Everton by far got the best deal so why does Golum quite obviously dislike us?..the mind boggles.

Sir John Moores was the Sheik Mansour/Roman Abramovich of his day and from Eccles and i believe a fan of the vermin originally so hardly a dyed in the wool scouser.

I personally have nothing against Everton or Scousers in general and only despise one club but the Evertonians and Golum in particular really loathe us. If they took a step back

here he is. ok no sheikh mansour but not far behind glazier. everton could do so much if this guy helped out.

14. Lord Grantchester £1.2bn

Everton (Last year £1.2bn, 14th)

The grandson of the late Sir John Moores, founder of the Littlewoods empire who gave up the chairmanship to sit on the Everton board, Grantchester has an 8% stake in the Toffees and donated £100,000 towards the £800,000 cost of acquiring the Everton Collection of memorabilia.
The family wealth derives from the pools business, which started in 1923; it later branched out into mail order and retailing. The family sold some stores in 1998 and the pools side of the business in 2000; those proceeds and past dividends are worth £445m. But another windfall came in 2002 when the remaining department stores and mail order operation were sold for £750m. In all the family should be worth perhaps £1200m after-tax and charitable donations.

He will never invest while Kenwright is in charge it really is a closed shop in our boardroom corrupt with silent partners (that prick from M&S Mr Green)
the average City fan is no different than the average Evertonian, we were averaging over 40000 prior to Sheik Mansour taking over and the overwhelming majority of those who watch our home games were watching Danny Mills, Samaras and Co fail to score a goal at home from NY Day to the end of the season. I'm sure if you look at things like income of the fans we are very similar, most fans you see interviewed outside the Etihad are working class Mancunians just as those interviewed outside Goodison are working class scousers, we are not former Chelsea fans it's the same lot of dare i say i fatalist negative dreamers in the main who always think it is going to go tits up. If Everton were going to be taken over the would be delighted as we were.

Personally if i was an Evertonian i would question the fact that even though they beat us every time at Goodison and deservedly so why do they roll over at Anfield and Old Trafford and why Moyes is such a coward when they play there.

Evertonians don't hate City, if you read fanzines like WSAG you will find many articles regarding the similarities of the clubs and fan base, yes a few think you have changed and got cocky and a few replies on here today and the name of this thread prove that but we only hate
One club with a passion, Moyes hates you and he needs to get rid of his chip as what he is doing now with his contract is no different to what Lescott did

Kenwright can't hold a candle to Swales when it comes to gross incompetence and he has a better barnet.

i am no expert re everything concerning everton but moyes / kenwright have an alliance where neither speaks out against the other. moyes is on 70 k plus a week - who else would offer him that? does kenwright want a manager who would stand up to him - i very much doubt it. kenwright is protecting his assets in moyes , re the lescott affair it was easier for both of them to discredit city i guess, and i agree that without the lescott / rooney money we would be fcuked. look at the youtube video where the blue union lads ask kenwright where the arteta money went. it's why no buyer would deal with kenwright - he doesn't even have a definitive value of how much the club is worth.

totally agree re moyes signing a contract , and know very few blues who would sooner beat city than the RS. i have no ruck with city fans as there are fewer clubs and fanbases that are as grounded as most of them are.

I've always liked Everton FC it just whines me up the way they play against us if they played like that every week sweat blood they would get top 4 most seasons also that 4-4 contributed to us winning the league;)

I have never liked Everton or Liverpool.I have been to scouse land 6 times and feel like im in a different country. And the scousers like to rip you off when you park your car.Paid 8 quid at goodison last year what a rip off.
