Haaland Record Tracker

The top flight record will never be beaten because it belongs to Dixie Dean and he scored 60 league goals - which would just not be possible to beat in modern football.
I'm not so sure about that.
Records are made to be broken...

His goals per minute ratio is somehow even more impressive. Can you imagine how many he would be on if he plays virtually every minute like kane and salah. How many times has pep took him off after an hour in a game we are strolling and a few more look certain. Would love him to get to 40, just a different level and worth remembering this is thr worst haaland will ever be with us, it's only going to get better.

I find two things quite odd.

The Dixie Dean record was never mentioned until this season. Not when Ronaldo, Luis Suarez, Harry Kane or Salah were setting/chasing records.

And the bigger one is his total of 350+ goals is never mentioned when discussing the overall goal records in which Shearer and Kane are top. Surely if his tital in all competitions in one season is relevant, then his overall total is as well.

Because none of them ever got as close as Haaland is about to get while on English soil. Ronaldo's highest-scoring season in England is 42, Suarez's 31, Salah's is 44. There was never any chance of them catching Dixie Dean so the media never thought about bringing it up. It speaks volumes about how good Haaland has been that an apparently unbeatable record is under threat.

Sure, fair enough maybe. You would think it would deserve a mention though, even to show how impressive it remained.

My second point stands, why isn't he included as the top scorer in England? I know it is before the Premier League, but then so is his all competitions in one season record.

Dixie Dean's record was always one of those things that I thought was an interesting anomaly from a bygone age but it would never be broken because 'football has changed'. I am starting to wonder about that now. Difficult, but possible, is my take - which is amazing when you think about it.

Agree.

Why is his total not relevant? 349 goals for Everton, dwarfs Shearer's and Kane's.

Also, is it 60 or 63 in one season. They keep saying different things. 60, Haaland has a chance imo. 63, not so much.

See above.

Haaland has a chance to break Dean’s 63 goal record across all comps but not his 60 goal record in the league.

I am fine with that personally, though, as it gives him a target next season. ;-)
Hopefully he'll get more games next season (wishful thinking for a Super Cup or a World Cup crack? Definitely maybe - gotta dream big). One game at a time, Haaland will reach new highs.

I want him to break the Hattrick one, been a while since he's scored one
On 5 occasions this season, he has been taken off with 15+ plus when already on 2 goals. If he wanta another, has to do it in 60 minutes.

Mind you he had 2 against Leicester within 20 minutes and got taken off at half time. I think that one isn't happening this season.
