Haaland the great

New system suiting him perfectly and long may it continue. Was mentioned in commentary yesterday it was like seeing the Dortmund version of Haaland.

Still 130 goals to go. Won’t be that easy. If he continues this form and has no injuries should be at least around 100 behind if not lower by the end of the season.

Injuries, form etc will be the decider. If he continues as is though he could do it in 3 years.

I'm sure I read he's aiming to leave in 2026, unless of course, he has a change of mind.

Who could afford him given the length of contract he has signed?

Real Madrid certainly but could they fit him in alongside Mbappe?

Barcelona? Not a chance!

German or Italian teams? Very unlikely.

You know what it's like though, if any one of those clubs hears on the grapevine that they're his preferred destination, they'll break the bank to sign him before he changes his mind.

I doubt whether breaking a contract would mean much to Haaland, especially if his old man thinks a move would do him the world of good!

It may be blue-tinted specs, but I feel like Erling loves it here and will see out his contract. Injuries permitting.

We're finally playing to Haaland's strengths, whether that's by accident or design I'm not quite sure.
I think he’s had a change of attitude. He’s digging in deep and working harder instead of waiting around for a pass. I’m loving this new version of him.

I reckon he wants Jimmy Greaves’ top flight league goals record (357 goals).

At the moment, Haaland is on 91 goals in 102 games. At this rate he’d get to 358 in 401 games or another 8 seasons.

I think it's a bit of both, he's more enthused to work harder because he can get the rewards for that hard work now that we're playing something a bit different to the sideways walking football which left him facing packed and organised defences.

Barca are struggling to keep the players that they have registered under La Liga’s rules. It’s not a question of breaking the bank , it’s getting approval from La Liga to register him.

Why else did they go for Rashford on loan in the close season and then still struggle to get him registered?

More 'n likely they'd rob it! His value has shrunk though as he's got 25 players in front of him in the Ballon d'Or peckin' order!

He's on fire!
And If I know big Erl like I think I do then he stays with us and breaks big Als PL record.
I think if he carries on at the same rate, 9 goals every 10 games then he beats it by 2031. Big ask though, but if he stays even 6/7 years of his long contract he should beat it.
