In my view Half and Half scarves are abhorrent and from what I see in comments for many others to, Spurs have banned them and also WHU for the game at the London stadium last weekend

Ive spoken to a few stewards about them and they also dislike seeing them as a potential safety issue, being an option for away fans to wear their colors when sat in the home areas

I decided to write to the club to see if they could consider banning them, for the very least for high-profile games but, preferably permanently. I thought my appeal to them would carry more weight if, I could quote a poll

Please vote as you see fit

Ban them. They are an absolute embarrassment!

It winds me up every time I see them at matches. People need to understand the etiquette at a football match. If you are in the home end then you support the home team. You are not a neutral just there to be entertained like at the theatre. Football is tribalistic whether you like it or not Wearing a half n half just makes you look like you don’t understand football and its culture.

They are an abomination. How the fuck can you claim to be a City fan and then wear a scarf with another team all over it. I remember the 2011 final when they gave out half and half flags, we ripped the Stoke half off. They and the tax dodging sellers that are all over the place need fucking off. If you want a memento of the game, buy a programme!

Shall we put you down as a “don’t know”?

The club have got bigger fish to fry, fans should take the initiative.

Scumbag street hawkers selling this stuff should be battered and robbed to dissuade them from returning. “Neutrals” wearing the scarves should be spared the initial violence but left in no doubt that should they subsequently don the scarf a painful moment of reckoning will arrive.

Ban them. Certainly for domestic games.
I recall a few seasons ago in the Summerbee Bar there were 2 Dippers who had obviously somehow got tickets in the home section. Otherwise they wouldn't have got entry into the bar. I only noticed them because of their accents and they were wearing half & half scarves and once they had bought a drink they both turned their scarves around and tied them with the red half clearly to the front. Asking for trouble.
The other thing I don't get is people wearing them at Derby games. I saw plenty last Sunday. No self respecting Blue ( or rag, for that matter) would wear the opponents' colours. They're an abomination and should be permitted for CL games only, at a push.

Not a fan, but banning them is excessive.

Some kids collect them these days, like people use to with match programmes. They can be decent mementos for them I guess, times change.

Also it's useful for highlighting dickhead adults, much easier to spot with one of those on.

If you wear one of those, you aren’t a proper fan of your club. You shouldn’t need a souvenir from playing another team, be it domestic or Euro. The only thing that should be on your mind is to smash the opposition and take that away as your souvenir.

The only good use of a half and half scarf is to piss on it or use it to wipe one’s bum.

I don’t like them but how can you ban them? People will always find a way if there are people who will buy them. So I can’t vote for something impossible.

I can't understand a City fan wanting a scarf with dippers, rags or arse on it. I get the souvenir aspect but most fans won't buy one every game and if you only see one or two games a season then just buy a programme as a souvenir.
I really couldn't understand it at the semi in 2011 (or any other semi-final). You either get a reminder of who we lost to; big "NO THANKS". Or you end up buying another for the final and might still have a reminder of a defeat.
