Not sure I agree with that comparison mate. Local snooker clubs will have very limited space and people looking to play the odd game or so a year would probably be able to go elsewhere locally without it making too much of a difference to them.
People getting to a football match to support the team they love should be as affordable as possible. It should be a privilege for the club to have people support them, not a privilege for supporters with higher financial means to support their team. Those like me who go once every so often having to fork 50 quid before even trying for a ticket is so poor, imo. Of course this pales in comparison to what's being expected financially and logistically of season ticket holders and people who've been going all their lives. I can moan about my situation here but it's those people I feel most sorry for in it all.
There are that many Citizen match day members on the books that they would be able to fill 3 Etihad's and more.
If you're paying for access to tickets you should get access, the club oversold this and it is very much a scam. It's like people are paying so they can say they are supporting the club and the club are just coining it in for the hell of it.
