Can anyone tell me how many tickets Hamburg will allocate us Bluemooers for the trip over to Germany. When Villa played
there they were allocated 2800 with more available if there was the demand for it.

You'll probably get about the same, that being all three tiers of the South-East corner.

Looking something like this...

Villa had 2800.

Will be roughly the same for you. As far as I know UEFA regulations say 5% of the total seats has to be reserved for the counterpart fans. As for international matches we have slightly more than 50,000 seats in our stadium MCFC will get about 2,600 or 2,700 tickets.

To get even more tickets will become difficult for you as here in Hamburg they only have to switch on the light and the stadium is full.

Excuse my english and best regards from Hamburg. Looking forward to see the nice MCFC fans back here in the city.

Since we turned down Hamburger's request for 6,000 (they will get the normal 3,000) I could not see us getting a big allocation.

It is a shame how the Uefa cup is shunned by the English unless a big piss-up is involved.

Didnt go to the friendlies in Hamburg before. Is the stadium like Schalke's, as in, we got tickets for the home-end but just walked into the City end no problem!

Germany has a very large Turkish population, they probably bought loads on the fringes of their allocation

As Corky said there's a large Turkish population in Germany - some of whom have never seen Galatasaray play live and that was the perfect chance to see them.

They were all over the place. Reguardless of how much the ticket was, they snapped up as much as they could. Each Hamburg fan could buy 4 tickets during the season ticket holders and members ticket windows - thats as well as his own usual season ticket seat. So he sells his "spare" 4 tickets, either on ebay or to a friend/colleague who is a Turk and you've got Turks all over the place. Not to mention that they bought out 90% of our VIP seats too. Again, reguardless of the price - they snapped them all up.

Quite frankly, the sight of red and yellow scattered around the stadium actually made me sick. Although at least we werent as bad as Berlin. When Gala played Hertha in the group stage, the Turks had 40,000 odd out of the 60 capacity.

One Hamburg fan was even quoted as saying: "I would rather give my ticket to a friend, than a fellow Hamburg fan who is a stranger"

Idiot.
