hamburg at the waldorf

Fyi:
Rangers and Hamburg have a relationship going back to 1977 when some Hamburg Supporters visited Rangers and founded Hamburg Loyal Rangers Supporters Club. I doubt that the intention was to support any religious or political tendencies. These Hamburg fans were and still are an important part oh Hamburg's fanscene. It got nothing to do with Celtic being linked to St. Pauli because a set of supporters like they have now didn't even exist at St. Pauli's Millerntorstadion. They formed in the mid of the 80's. Dunno when they got first links to Celtic but I think it must've been in the early 1990's.

Additionally to that: Rangers showed up with about 80 lads in one coach if I remember that right.

The marching of HSV supporters is like a tradition at away matches. We do it, if it is possible. No difference if it is in Bremen, Zurich, Manchester, Bochum or Bern. Especially when we bring large numbers to an away match we like to celebrate our "invasion". But that's no try to start some riot. Well, in most cases at least.

The marching by the Hamburg fans was also done at there home leg. They marched in good old milatary fashion straight through the reperbahn to there side of the police. Good natured and no reaction was noted

Mine's the best post on this thread by a mile, buck up please.

Good for you. Why not find a poster of equal stature and start your own 'special relationship' with your own flag. The rest of us will just plod on supporting the one club.

[Irony intended]

You never read the post, but cheers for the well thought out advice.

After what the Rangers fans did to our City last summer i have no respect for them at all! to see those flags last week i wasnt arsed but now to hear they were throwing bottles n shit last week i feel hate towards Rangers fans now! Id love to see how they'd react if we went to their town and acted as they do in ours!

anyone see them come past, throwing bottles, kicking over the tables and chairs?

Few chairs and tables were thrown from the front of the Brunswick at a large group of Hamburg supporters. Not sure if that was part of the same incident.
