Fyi:
Rangers and Hamburg have a relationship going back to 1977 when some Hamburg Supporters visited Rangers and founded Hamburg Loyal Rangers Supporters Club. I doubt that the intention was to support any religious or political tendencies. These Hamburg fans were and still are an important part oh Hamburg's fanscene. It got nothing to do with Celtic being linked to St. Pauli because a set of supporters like they have now didn't even exist at St. Pauli's Millerntorstadion. They formed in the mid of the 80's. Dunno when they got first links to Celtic but I think it must've been in the early 1990's.
Additionally to that: Rangers showed up with about 80 lads in one coach if I remember that right.
The marching of HSV supporters is like a tradition at away matches. We do it, if it is possible. No difference if it is in Bremen, Zurich, Manchester, Bochum or Bern. Especially when we bring large numbers to an away match we like to celebrate our "invasion". But that's no try to start some riot. Well, in most cases at least.
