I understand you're angry mate, but where does the line get drawn? Are you "part time" for obviously not having a Seasont Ticket? Is someone "part time" because they've not been to every game home and away since Jesus walked?

I get the part that perhaps CityCard holders should have had a period of exclusivity, but when the masses don't turn up, despite the low ticket prices, the number one concern for City would be to fill the ground; they could have done it slightly differently; i agree... but no one saw this coming and i think the guys up top will see this plan of action as a roaring success.

Fair enough mate, but why did I bother getting a City card if I cant take advantage of it for games like this. Where's the loyalty for the all the other UEFA cup games Ive been too ??? Whats the point of loyalty points if they are only ever used for games like the derby or away matches ?? Surely how many points you have shows how 'loyal' you are ?

Only reason i didnt get a season ticket was due to work commitments at the time they went on sale last year, I wasnt sure how many games I could make so decided to buy tickets on a week by week basis.......but as it happens I have been to EVERY home game this season.

and contributed more to the club because on a week to week basis it works out a lot more money!!!

One of the biggest problems was the amount of tickets one person could buy, if this was limited to two I don't think there would have been a problem everybody who needs one (real fans not touts, germans etc) would have got one. to do this it would have had to go open sale to city card/access card (wouldn't of need any points system) anything left opensale to any one.

I think you have a very good reason to feel that way. Luckily I have a season ticket, but fancy doing something so good as in lowering the price and then stuffing up on the sales criteria (the one they normally use would have been fine)

Keep the faith fella - there will be plenty of tickets floating around on the night, you will still get in if you want to...
 
does anyone know how many citycard holders there are,
if its more than 15,000 plus seasoncard holders i can see where a problem would arise for a game like this.

going forward if what we want happens this will become a regular occurance.

do we think the club are testing the fans out to see if a demand is there for a bigger capacity.

just curious
 
Maybe going forward our so-called most loyal fans in the world can put a bit more of an effort in for earlier rounds, same for FA Cup, League Cup etc. to counter the need for panic as has happened along with shutting up the City baiters about empty blue seats but we took a million to Blackburn etc.

Just a thought
 
I genuinely do feel sorry for everyone who has missed out, although I'm sure most people who deserve the tickets will get them somehow. It has happened to all of us before and was part of the reason why I got a Seasoncard!

Yeah I'll make sure I get one.......just gonna begrudge giving a tout 20 quid for it though.
 
only sustained success will bring about that superbia, it just the nature of the beast, we have always been the same for early rounds of cups, and there have been some shockers in them.

keep winning football matches and the crowds will come

Should we get to the semi final,and tickets go to full price ,do you think it will sell out in the first few days,in the Hamburg programme I hope they put in City song lyrics for all the people who don't normally go.
 
It's not fair that people who wanted tickets didn't get some but at the end of the day, that's life. It's not fair, things don't always happen to those that have worked hardest for them or deserved them on other merits.
At the end of the day, we will have a full stadium for a crucial game and I'm sure that most City fans out there will be happy and proud of that fact even if they weren't able to secure a ticket.
Come on City, do us proud!
 
i went down on the wednesday and queued for 2 hours, when i finally got to the front i was told there was no 2 seats together in the ground, by the time i got home the club had suspended ticket sales to seasoncard holders only, even though im on level 3 its gonna be a great night for the blues.

These conditions are effectively a legal commitment, which has been completely ignored by City. While I'm delighted the ground will be full (although it will be interesting to see how full it actually is) I'd be absolutely furious if I was a Citycard holder and had tried unsuccessfully to get a ticket.

yes but it states that subject to availiabilty and with such high demand i think the club are still probably in the right as there is such high demand this means they're subject to availability
