'Hand Me Downs' Football Boots

Yep, first pair of boots that I had, followed by a pair of Francis Lee endorsed boots, with a revolutionary revolving disc of studs that allowed you to spin and change direction…then came the ultimate boots that everyone dreamed of owning Adidas Beckenbauer luminous green!
 
Hand me downs. I'm still scarred by these 3 words. Being from a big family, I relied on them. Once when I was about 7, there was nothing to wear except my sisters old pink n white check dress. Absolutely mortified I was trudging to school getting the piss ripped out of me. So I gets in class just before the lesson started, and to my astonishment and utter horror, the teacher came into the room with the exact pink n white dress. I don't know who was more embarrassed, me or him!
 
My very first pair of boots were a pair of hi-tek in the mid 80’s. Think they were from winfields and cost under a fiver! Haha!
 
Hmmm..my very first football boots were hand me downs from a much older cousin..but they were in fact rugby boots..a week into my new school having left Chorlton,playing on tarmac at Oswald Road and then a proper pitch in Leeds..had the piss taken out of me..it was most unpleasant..some Leeds fan kept taking the piss all day..my boots, my Manc accent...took it all day, then snapped..clocked the bastard and nearly got expelled after a week. Gelderd aggro..He saw Kippax aggro.
 
Played in woolworths finest moulded soles (black with 2 white stripes) at school and they were my brothers old ones.
My Dad got me a pair of second hand screw-ins (adidas summat) for my town team debut. I had a nightmare game.
