Probably the fact our managers contract ends this season with currently no new deal in place. Probably because he has heavily been linked with England and didn't dismiss it when recently asked. Probably because he has said he wants to manage national football in the future. It is a big story, involving our manager. Is a city forum not the place to discuss such things as this?
 
If I was Pep I would use every trick in the book to tempt the boss to increase my wages, whilst also thinking he wants to defend the World Club Championship

Well he was asked and explicitly didn't rule it out so of course there will be speculation. It pissed me off tbh, if it was anyone other than Pep I'd want blood.

He should know we're getting it from all angles in the media at the moment and said I'm never taking that job in a million years after how the press have treated me.

He usually says exactly what Id say minus the expletives. I've loved how much of a massive bert Pep is. This had a different tone but was probably because he was speaking to Italian media and felt more relaxed.

Tuchel news is encouraging and calmed me down a bit, I just got a bit flappy at the sheer horror of Pep managing England. I genuinely don't think I could take it, would feel like your wife shagging your school bully.

Ha, there are a million reasons why he wouldnt take the england job, one being the level of scrutiny england managers get is off the scale, he barely can hide his distain for the hacks as it is , if he does take the job i will run naked up my street , pics and video, lol

There are reasons when you are in denial like yourself. When asked recently, if there was a million reasons why he wouldn't take the job, his flat out answer would have been no. Just like when asked about the Spain position. You are saying the England job is scrutiny like he isn't under the microscope being our manager. We all want him to stay and I think he will do one more year to be honest. I just wouldn't say the England job is as farfetched as you are making out. The simple answer is, none of us know.
 
Not going to happen. Part of me would love to see it though, albeit a few more years down the line!
