He's basically saying that group B is the strongest group and whoever emerges 2nd from this group will play Spain in the semi final and the winners of this game will play the winners of group B in the final.
He's not predicting the 4 semi-finalists, he's predicting who will win and who will get to the final. He's made 4 choices, whoever he picks only 2 of them can get to the final.
It doesn't say anything about predicting the semifinalists in the BBC sport web page, only the finalists and winners. Did it actually originally say 'semifinalists' in the original article (i.e. was the wording on this page changed) or is it the Daily Mail lying yet again?
