I heard some Chelsea fans moaning about Drogba on the way back. I thought Lescott bossed him - he is one of the best forwards in the world and for most of the game Lescott had him in his pocket.

Can't argue with NDJ getting man of the match, but there were a host of players - Shay, Lescott, Tevez, Robi, Sweep - who were all excellent and only a whisker behind

Barry was close for motm he and NDJ run the midfield great display, going back to the OP Lescott was outstanding yet again thought he was motm v Arsenal on wednesday.
 
Agree, since england brazil he's been a different player. if ferdinand doesn't recover he'll be alongside terry at the world cup.
 
More than happy to praise Lescott in equal volumes to my past criticism, both eqully deserved.

Great to see our defence finally starting to gel.
 
Drogba likes to bully defenders but Lescott stayed firm and out muscled him on a number of occasions.........with Drogba's constant moaning it told us that Lescott had him in his pocket.
 
I think some of the abuse he and others have took has been bang out of order and saying sorry after weeks of abuse just doesn't cut it for me - he wasn't given a chance and his improvement is in spite of some city fans not because of them. Christ we don't make it easy for our own players - it baffles me.
 
Ive never got on the back of a City player and never will..tbh Im one of the hughes outer's after our run of draws...but I will eat my share of humble pie if results carry on....My slice of pie is starting to look very appetizing.

Giving a player abuse at the game is out of order, discussing it on an internet forum is not. Criticism is an entirely different thing from abuse, but admittedly there could have been more patience with Lescott.
