Happy 80th Birthday Robert De Niro.

His 'comedy' films are shite imo.

Ironically, I think 'The King of Comedy' is his best performance.
Oh yes, Rupert Pupkin, the film was a bit of a flop but gained credibility in later years. I think Michael Palin and Terry Jones knew the script from beginning to end and would quote the lines randomly at parties and events. If anyone on here likes a laugh and appreciates brilliant subtle comedy watch it, the film is brilliant as is Robert De Niro.

I was with my family at Disney Land in the mid 90’s, they closed a small section of the park (Swiss Cottage or chalet?), I asked a Park worker why it was closed, she said they were shooting a scene for a film called Marvin’s Room and Robert De Niro and Meryl Streep were amongst the actors filming. I asked if there was any chance of getting in during a break, it was an emphatic no, absolutely gutted, De Niro has been my favourite actor of all time.
