happy anniversary from mcfc.

Stood in Windy Corner with the future Mrs Moon.

We had a rag next to us who by half time had sore feet from Mrs Moon jumping all over them in her heels every time we scored. I did warn him during the stoppage he should fuck off to the Platt Lane corner but he maintained he was no rag.

He never came back for the second half........always hoped he missed 'the greatest goal in the game' TM.

Probably my favorite ever game at the old ground.

Got married two weeks before the game. My wife wanted us to go on honeymoon for 2 weeks but I convinced her that we could only really afford one week as we would need the money for the new house etc. It had nothing to do with the derby, honest!

Oh I was in the windy corner that day as well!

Wow, you lot have short memories. We only won that game as Bryan Robsn was out injured, if you remember?

I recall the next school day, half of the rags in our class were now suddenly Liverpool fans, and the other half were coming out with some right pearlers:

It was a freak result. Will never happen again in a hundred years.

Hinchcliffe's goal doesn't count, because he's a Man U supporter.

Ferguson's out of time. If he's not sacked now we'll be a laughing stock.

Oh yeah? Well it doesn't matter because ceefax says were signing Wesley Sneidjer in the morning anyway.

I loved that day. I was ten years old, and I remember it clearly as the day that my dad stopped taking me to Maine Road purley so that he could get out of the house and have a beer in the social club. Though the rags support that day was pretty scary to a kid, like caged animals. Kicking off because they were getting beat by their 'inferior' neighbours.

I think, after Hughes' goal, it was probably the same day that I learned the phrase 't**t'. Some kid at school going on about how Hughes' goal was the best moment in the match and only thing it should be remembered for. I told him they could have that one on us, swear his face went as purple as Slurgie's.

I was also stood on windy corner.

I was 19 then, ended up at belle vue dogs singing and waving the old pink paper at any rag who bothered to go out that night.

A very special day 1 of my best days of supporting city

What a day, Fergie had spent £10million pre season and I expected a drubbing. Oh me of little faith.

Stood in the top left corner of the Kippax metres away from the scum coins flying everywhere.

Anyone remember the blue and the scum fan jumping over the fence into no man's land to have a fight when the police had deserted to sort out the North stand.

Well the rest is history, one of the best days I've ever had being a blue.

My first league derby. Bought my first ever season ticket that summer. 40 quid for a junior in the Kippax. Remember going into school on the Monday and the absence rate among the Reds was unusually high!
