We defended him to the hilt at the time. Looking at it now though, particularly given that Adebayor is no longer of this parish, it doesn't look good. I'd say he knew what he was doing. Same for Mario with Scott Parker. Not all Citeh players had halos over their heads.

The thing I like about my fave GIF is that it’s not City specific. Any time some idiot troll goes off in a fit of self-important pique/anger on any topic, you can use that GIF.

Granted the Pep wink has the same impact when you’re agreeing with someone. Like that bearded nodding guy, what’s-his-name.

If you’d spent the previous hour having that elephant washing song sung about you perhaps you’d have done same, but I liked it despite it probably not reflecting Ade’s best judgment, because it was such an epic troll of the sport’s most insufferably-self important fan base, cribbed directly from the sport’s most insufferably self-important manager. Granted in a decade they’ve been taken down a peg or two and we’ve had their number for years, but at the time, there wasn’t an Arsenal fan on earth who wasn’t instantly slappable in 2010.
