Brilliant player and brilliant debut.

People always say, if only he'd signed for us years earlier...there's no way he'd have a) turned out as good as he was and b) if he was showing class we'd have flogged him or he'd have wanted to leave.

We had the best of him for a couple of years and that was to the benefit of us & him.

That season getting promoted under KK ...the football we played, just wow.

That backheel is a thing of beauty. Telling how most of the Rainham end instinctively started clapping. Considering they still
Hate us and was only a few years after Wembley shows the genius of the man.

He was like a ray of sunshine. That promotion team made going to watch City something to look forward to again. They might not be legends of the club in the fashion our statue boys are, but for a certain generation of blues he and they will always have a special place in our hearts. Still one of my favourite seasons.

With all our recent success I still rate this as my favourite ever season being a city fan.
Years of absolute gumpth and the relegation the year before and then this. It was exciting and it made you proud to be a blue. For all the crap Keegan gets he’s the one that started us getting back on track and becoming the force we are today.

I still can’t believe he got Anelka to the club at that time too.

Ali b was a wonderful technically gifted footballer who played with a smile on his face and stardust in his boots. Remarkable player.

Fantastic player to watch, as was that whole Keegan team. The one piece of skill I remember in particular was in the Villa game at Maine Road but doesn't seem to be in the clip above...the pass at the Platt Lane end to set up the goal. Around 1:25 in this clip

I doubt Super Kev would be pleased you've mixed him up with Terry Hurlock!
