He produced great sides, should have won the league with SkipSacking Book as manager was a typical Swales move, wrong, wrong, wrong. Book’s side was pretty good.

If Colin Bell hadn't been injured or Swales would have sanctioned the signing Alan Ball to cover for him the we would have definitely won it in 76/77.He produced great sides, should have won the league with Skip
Also, still have the 1969 City book with his signature at the front, my Mum got it for me when he was doing a signing session when it came out.

Top man and why the word legend exists
Not a native Mancunian but definitely an adopted one, he has served our, and his, beloved club in what ever capacity was asked of him in upmost dignity without question. He is Skip and will always be Thanks Tony and happy 89th and here’s to many more
