Happy Clappers

I do feel that by being like that, you miss out on some of the highs that fans have over time.

Do you genuinely never look back to 93:20 and remember the feelings you had?

Does it always have to be driving forward relentlessly?

93:20 was a moment in time that will live with me to my dying day, but I don't sit and think about it. In fact, I've never intentionally rewatched any part of the game.

There are more important things in life than football. I've loved City from birth and I obviously take a great interest in the club, but I'm not obsessed with it to the extent that I see no wrong.

I've seen 60+ years of varying degrees of management and organisation at City. In the last 40 or 50 years I've been happy to call out / criticise what I believe to be 'failings'. I'm sure that many fans of a certain age (at any club) will have done much the same over the years.

It's just opinion. My opinion is as valid as anyone else's, and I'm sure that everyone's opinion is intended to be positive. We just look at things differently.

If we were all 'happy clappers', Bluemoon would be absolutely shite. Different opinions make for healthy debate and discussion.

The problem is that, at the moment, it seems that anyone who expresses an opinion that isn't 100% behind Pep and every member of the squad is seen as being 'negative', a 'wum', or 'not a City fan'.

Pep and the players are human. Fallible. Things will go wrong. Some will be remedied, some won't. There will come a day when it will all fall apart. Hopefully not soon, but it will definitely happen at some point.

All good things come to an end. That 'end' can be delayed by good planning. Good succession planning is essential. That's what I've been saying for ages.

Bernardo, Gundogan, De Bruyne, Walker... Where are their replacements? They should have been here / lined up 18 months ago.
Nunes? Phillips? Gvardiol? Savinho? Doku? A mix of inexperienced and sub-standard players... At £40m+ each? That's just rank bad planning.

You’re welcome to have your opinion. I just feel that you miss out on extended highs by moving on immediately.

That’s my opinion and I’ll stick to it. :-)

I find it strange how many people come to a forum and seem upset if people have a different opinion. I saw people in the Cole Palmer thread wanting it closed because they didn't like people talking about him, and I don't get why people just don't go in the thread? I have no interest in women's football so I don't go in that forum; I don't ask for it to be closed.

Some people also give bizarre responses that make no sense when they see a post they don't like. If you criticise a player, that means you hate them. If you question anything Pep does, that means you don't support City. If you think we will lose a game, that means you want us to lose the game.

People are allowed to question and criticise why the club went in to the season without a backup for Rodri when we needed one, why Pep decided to go so strong in the league cup when he said it was unimportant or why he runs certain players into the ground when there is a bench. Doesn't mean they are not real fans or they think they know more than Pep. Support doesn't mean 100% acceptance with zero criticism.
