I was more referring lyrically - even Marr has since expressed his disappointment at the lyrical content present by Morrissey for this tune that he thought deserved better.

Usually most bands first album is never bettered (Stone Roses) occasionally a bands 2nd album exceeds the first (Oasis?) but whenever has a bands' third album taken them to the next level like this one did?

The Beatles and Radiohead spring to mind. Probably loads more.

Remember buying the 20 year anniversary NME 10 years ago from a sweet shop in Hazel Grove, how time flies. Still my second favourite album by The Smiths.
