Hard To Be Here

The day finishing second (as I fully expect we will) is anything other than a good season, is the time that all reason has left the building.
When did first loser become something to celebrate?

The fact that it's better than most of the shite I sat through for years doesn't make it ok. We won't win trophies every year, no team has or will, but if you're happy with
I disagree.
The whole point of being a fan is to support the club, manager and players.
Did you do that with Ball, Clarke, Hughes and a million managers in between? I don't remember me being particularly supportive of the owners, managers or players through a lot of that period and that's ignoring the Swales out that went on for years.

I know we're nowhere near that bad anymore, but you can't spend what we have, and have the success we've had over the last 18 years, and then be ok with poor performances over a couple of seasons. The standard of the club and players has increased and the expectation of the fans has been raised with it. And fans venting on a forum doesn't mean they're not supportive - I saw the end of the dippers game and there were very loud boos at the end, something I've rarely heard at the Etihad, although that may be because everyone has left at 80 minutes ;-)

I think in our case you can be ok with poor performances, unless you’re around 18 and know nothing other than success. I can almost get that if that’s the case.

But to call for Peps head, which I’ve seen plenty of, is as rag like entitlement as it gets. Went gone from nothing to everything in a relative blink of an eye. A few or more poor performances and unsuccessful seasons should be given tolerance.

Not read anything after your post, though I’d be shocked if you didn’t take any flak. You are bang on though. Full of wet lettuces, people who think they know what they’re talking about but, instead, will go back to their mundane jobs tomorrow instead of being highly paid football managers. Twats, basically.
I'd say a lot of those "mundane jobs" as you put it are much more important in the greater scheme of things than a bag of wind been kicked around a football pitch. Disrespectful comment that.

Can you let me know how many games/seasons before I'm allowed to complain? I'm not sure what the rules are, but saying this team would get ripped apart by the Centurions team, or by the treble team and that we're going backwards is apparently not on and I just need to smile and clap.

I celebrated finishing 3rd in div 3 in 1998, as it meant something. I celebrated getting to 40 points in the seasons we managed it. Finishing 2nd in the PL (if we do) gets you into the CL. Only Arsenal fans celebrate that.
As you suggest it’s all about perspective, although I won’t have you putting words into my mouth. I never said it was something to celebrate. I said it represents a good season. There is a discernible difference.

You don’t appear to suffer from substandard English comprehension skills, so why would you misunderstand what I said in that way?

And what adjective would you use to describe finishing second in the PL?

The point I was making was that they pretend to be professional footy managers when infact they’re not. I thought that was clear.

Just don’t be an ungrateful bitch. Easy.

I didn't say you said anything and you didn't say it represents a good season, at least not to me. You asked about celebrations previously, so not sure what you're choosing to misunderstand.

As for finishing 2nd in this PL, my adjective would be 'disappointing'. Like last season's dipper side, this Arsenal team is nothing special. It's like losing it to Leicester again

Unrealised.

I think this team would get ripped apart by the Centurion team, given it was the greatest team ever assembled.

Can’t see how that’s remotely controversial.

In other news, this City team would rip Frank Clarke’s City team to pieces.
Me and you would rip that Clarke side to pieces mate. In our slippers after 8 Stella and a teenth of ganj :)
