Probably a long shot but are there any city pubs which people know of in Harrogate? Favour for my mum who can't make the cup final.

Best place to watch a match in the town centre is probably Muckles, I watched the derby in there the other week and there was plenty of support for City (from City fans and anti-United locals). You need to get there early for a good seat though, even though there's loads of TVs.

I know a couple of blues who watch games in Muckles. I have watched a gane in there myself when visiting my mate.

Message Harrogate Blue, i know they are taking a coach to Wembley but those who cant make it may arrange to watch together.

Once the original question has been satisfactorily answered is there any chance this thread could be moved to The Cellar as I'm going to harrogate for the weekend next month with the missus and wouldn't mind asking about decent pubs / restaurants in general!

Dan my mate runs the Slug and Lettuce in Harrogate and she is a proper Blue, if she is working mention my name to her and you may get discount on your meal. They do a top curry.

Loads of great bars about, the Wetherspoons i really liked. Its a top little town with plenty of totty to admire :)

The Wetherspoons is good, plenty of ales to choose from. Best real ale pub is the Old Bell at the bottom of Montpellier Hill, the Blues Bar (near Slug & Lettuce) is great for live music every night (and real ale) (I like real ale). Good places for a meal - William & Victoria, Cardomom Black, Ali Raj, Sukhothai, Orchid - just avoid the "Italian" chain restaurants. Head for the Montpellier quarter and you can't go wrong.

Bell brilliant for beer - great choice of real ales - Orchid not cheap but amazingly good Thai food.
