seems like everyone has forgotten Maguire would rather join city than united , we have built up a good relationship with Leicester over previous dealings , surely if you are Leicester you would fancy finishing above united next season , so definitely wouldn’t sell them one of your best players to them , with kompany leaving , sandler going on loan and ota possibly leaving , i could see Maguire happening

If Leicester look at where they want to finish - top 6 and 4th or better as the ultimate goal then who do they need to finish ahead off. Rags, Wolves, Arsenal, Chavs, maybe Tottenham.

Why let him go to your direct rival. They would much rather sell to us, but we are far less desperate than Rags. He is cover for us where as the Rags see him as first team and potential captain. All this is in the mix on the price.

My best guess - he goes to rags on a whopper fee.

He may well end up at the rags, however you should remember the player does have a say and consequently it is entirely feasible he says to Leicester that he wants to come to us and if we get anywhere near their valuation he tries to force the move.

I suspect he will look closely at Alexis Sanchez, who reportedly is devastated he didn't join City. No player in his right mind would chose United over City.

city are close on the deal ?? and even if united are going to pay £20 million more, i would stand may ground and only go another £5 to £10 million more that we got for delph

if Harry truely wants to join you guys over Utd (Rather he would for the sensible reasons provided earlier), then he should damn well stop being a dick and put in a transfer request, thus making the transfer to you more tolerable. As I am sure the Leicester board would rather the double ridiculous fee that Utd would cough (say 80), BUT part of what comes out of that is a laughable loyalty bonus. If he hands in a request, thats goes. He gets his dream move, we get better cash.
Simple. (yeah yeah, if he did that and Utd still bid 80 we would be even better off...but come on....sure he would rather stay in blue - albeit a little too Coventry hue for me ;) )
