Can’t help but feel a bit disappointed that we have missed out on maguire and in the process a rival has been strengthened. Worry about playing the physical sides next season.

Some people are getting too carried away with the price. They’re shit and have nothing to offer, of course they’re going to have to pay over the odds for decent players. they can afford it which is the only consideration now with fees and he’s comfortably better than anything they currently have so that makes it a good signing for them. In years gone by Harry Maguire would have been an under the radar squad signing but now he’s a bit of a coup for them which says everything you need to know about their standing in football. Fortunately, they need another 10 signings of a similar quality just to be comfortable getting top 4.

As it stands we need homegrown. What that means for Otamendi is the thing. We cant go non homegrown if we plan to keep him. On the other hand if we buy and that makes him want to leave, we could end up limiting ourselves to homegrown when we don’t have to because Otamendi goes. Bit of a catch 22.
