I'm getting mixed messages. One minute we've got a better squad than the world's best club side, but then I watch football focus and lawrenson says the rags have easily the best squad in the country!!??!!
I'm told we're spending too much and ruining the game, then see that since the January window, chelsea have spent 30 mil more than us.
We have an owner who is not shy of spending HIS own money and gets criticised, but thompson has just had a go at QPR for having very wealthy owners who won't go out and spunk loads of cash on new players.

That is what professional football is about. I doubt Modric was a Tottenham fan in Croatia, and that he would have turned down a double salary from anyone else especially if the other club plays CL, etc, just like he is proving now with Chelsea.

Redknapp knows this very well. This is just a part of the usual mind games before the match.
