Harry Redknapp: Samir Nasri joined Man City for the money

He also said in the same press conference, about Tevez “It is strange. Unless you are going to go to Barcelona or Real Madrid, I couldn’t see where you would want to go other than Man City.”

He seems to be quite confused and full of contradictions.

Has anybody actually got a copy of the full interview?

The press are very good at manipulating people words/quotes to lead with the story they want.
In most cases, they all end up being pro United etc.

I suspect Harry was being interviewed pre match for Sundays game, so would have to make comments on City's latest signing.
No doubt in that interview he was asked about Nasri's move to City.
Reading the fragmented reply and trying to make sense of if, I think this is closer to the truth.
"The biggest draw (over United) would have been improving his wages which is perfectly understandable, but these days that wouldn't have been the only reason. City's squad is very strong, and that would have also attracted Nasri (over United) as they are going to win things, and that he can be part of that. He finishes that he believes City's squad is as strong (on paper at least) as any club in the world."

Then again, I may be completely wrong and he's a twat! LOL...

Anyone who says if the scum and us offered the same money he would of gone to the scum instead never watched the Nasri press conference we are the club of the future and named the players at our club who he can't wait to play with...

Although we were getting and better last season, I wouldn't describe us a ripping teams apart.
It is only the last few games and the addition of Aguero that we a really looking unbeatable.
Nasri's deal has been going on a for a few months, way before all this.
Forward looking players (like Nasri) may see us as the future, but many still see United as the more attractive club. We will still have to offer more money to attract players for the time being.
I think this will change over the next few years. Players want success, and Uniteds "history" will mean very little if they are not winning anything.

f*ck me, that fat cockney tw*t has a gob on him!

stoking the fires ahead of sunday, bring it on twitcher you can make all the shitarse comments you want after we rape you and looter fc

Anybody who says
Of course Samir Nasri joined Man City for the money. He [Nasri] could have gone to Manchester United, they wanted him and he wanted to go there, but then Man City came in and offered him more money so he went to Man City.

and then
It's certainly not just about the money with City, Players will look at them and think: 'This team can win the Champions League in the next couple of years and I want to be part of that.' I would say their squad is stronger than Barcelona's, and eventually they will be challenging for everything. I'm sure they'll win the Premier League one day.

clearly isn't worth listening to.

Bet they don't bend over and take it right up the clanker like they do every time they play utd tomorrow.
Yet another one of baconchops lapdogs spouting off to keep the prince of darkness happy.
