Hart must play in the final

It's not purely on that basis though is it? It's the manager's policy based on what he feels is best practice.

Let me ask this, the likelihood is Caballero is gone this summer, how do we attract another keeper to the club if he's not at least guaranteed cup games to try to impress?

Playing him isn't best practise but down to the manager as you say. Going back to your first post though it has had so many replies as the fact is Hart should be playing but I fully agree he won't be. It is a forum where people discuss that's all and why it has had so many responses.

Your tolerance, acceptance and adherence to your view is admirable Rolee; but when I take my not inexpensive seat at Wembley, after the logistics and expense of the round trip, and that comic tumbler is announced in goal, mine and a lot of other hearts will sink.

Has anyone got the stats - games he's played, results, goals conceded etc.?

I don't like to get on players back normally but leaving him out seems like a no brainer.

I really can't remember him playing one good game. Even the semi final aginst Everton their goals didn't seem unsavable.

Prepare yourself mate because sadly it will happen. I just wish we had a defence that was capable of making sure Willy has nothing to do.

Unless it's Neuer, (To replace Joe Hart) We Don't. We go with either Angus Gunn or Ian Lawlor, as No. 2, depending on which one of them Pep Guadiola decides has the most potential.

What's more important - attracting a second choice keeper or winning a trophy????! Let's sort a keeper after a cup is won.

Surely someone will have a quiet word in the (soon to be departing) managers ear. There is loyalty and then there is extreme madness

I really don't get it. By all means give the back up keeper a game in Round 3 at home to lower league opposition but to select him to play a final against dangerous opponents and based purely on sentiment is absolutely ridiculous. There is no football logic behind it whatsoever. It's difficult for the club to bang on about the importance and glory of winning trophies, if when a perfectly good opportunity arises to win one, you start sacrificing your best team. We already gave up on one trophy yesterday albeit in more debatable circumstances.
