Here.
Sunderland have asked Manchester City if they can sign goalkeeper Joe Hart on loan.

The 23-year-old has returned to Eastlands after spending last season at Birmingham and was expected to challenge Shay Given for the number one jersey.

However, Sunderland, who are looking to find a replacement for the injured Craig Gordon, hope City will let the England international move north to the Stadium of Light

Black Cats boss Steve Bruce told the Sunderland Echo: "We've asked the question of City and we now just have to wait and see what they say.

"But the timetable is not up to us on when we get an answer, it's up to them.

"With these new 25-man squad rules, clubs don't have to name their confirmed squads until the end of August, so if they wanted to, City could delay any decisions on their squad until then."

I think he should go.
In my opinion Given is a better keeper but Hart is too good a prospect to be sold.

Totally disagree with OP. I think Hart is a better keeper.

Certainly a better prospect and doesn't have an iffy shoulder.

i dont think one more year on loan will do him any harm, just make sure we put a clause in so we can recall if shay gets hurt

keep hart, he should be our number one this year and for many more years.

and as city have already turned the brummies down id expect them to turn the mackems down.

Fulop situation might make them favorites.

I just know what will happen. Given will be given the No. 1 again and some moron will decide to loan out Hart. Given will hurt his shoulder again midway through the campaign and we will be stuck with Stuart fucking Taylor....

I will go as far as saying that if Given gets the number 1 spot we will not get in the top four , he is dreadful on crosses and we will concede too many fro set pieces , look forward to many 3.3 games if he plays .
