I haven't seen it again but that's what I thought at the time. His starting position looked awful.

The goal came about from a number of factors. A loose pass from the LB position (didn't notice who played it), Pizzaro's failure to control the pass and the subsequent loss of possession, the failure to close down Arteta quickly enough (CBs at fault?) and yes, Joe would be disappointed that that shot got past him.
 
Joe's reaction today should be to work on his left hand side. Anyone not sure why should check out all the goals we have conceded this season.

Balo was balo he did well at times was rash at times and tried as hard as anyone. He deserved to be sent off but he also deserved to start as he is our second best striker.

Next year we need other viable options. Not just for him but for Yaya and Silva.

The score after Man City would still have read zero at f/t regardless of what happened with Arteta's shot. Plus there was fuck all protection by way of stopping it, although the players were very lethargic by that stage. I think you need to look elsewhere. These things have been happening for months. We have not carried the same goal threat and it is inevitable that pressure comes defensively as a result. We've had the best defence in the league.
 
Thought it was quite damning to be honest and it said it all really. Last week we had player's losing their head's and pushing each other around over who takes a free kick. This week Lescott screaming at Mario early in a game (if it was an isolated incident it wouldn't be to bad but it's not) and then Hart's reaction was as good a public showing of a fly on the wall of the dressing room we're ever likely to get.

I've been saying for a while that he's let a few soft 'uns in lately. Trautmann woulda caught Arteta's shot, one handed, with his left!
