Has anyone actually ever worked for City?

A good mate of mine used to work as a video analyst for City. Used to badger him regularly.

He told me Pep was happening months before it was confirmed, Mancini wasn't very pleasant at all to any staff (common knowledge), Foden was head and shoulders above everyone at every level growing up, David Silva was the ladies man on nights out apparently.

Also managed to nab me Fernandinho's replica mini trophy/gift box for the league cup/league double trophies in 2014.

Unfortunately for me, he now works for San Diego FC!

Who did you "heard " that from ?.

Was it a City fan who works for the club?
No - it was from a United fan who works for City (!)

In answer the points people make about knowing fans who work there, to be fair it probably depends on the role. If you are working the checkout in the club shop or manning the phones in the ticket office they probably don't care. If you are director of marketing they might want you to be more dispassionate.

I've got a (rag) mate who used to work for City as an English teacher. Mainly with some of the younger EDS players from overseas, but he did once do a lesson for Roberto Mancini. Just one mind, which explains a lot. Probably taught him the phrase "thees eez football."

I was a tray boy at maine road selling pies and boverall then progresses to the scratch card thingies.
Does that count????
Copycat :)

I can't properly remember how the scratchcard thingies worked.
Think they used to post them out on tick and when you'd sold them all you gave them the money minus anyone's winnings.
I got loads of people at college addicted to them which paid for my season ticket, but i seem to recall it gave us extra dibs on tickets for important games like during the '81 cup run.

I ran one of the bars in the new Kippax for two seasons. Free beer, free food, and got to watch most of the games (minus a few minutes either side of half time). Also got to see the Oasis gigs for free. Great days, but I actually can’t remember if I was working for City or a catering firm

I used to sell draw tickets for City around 1966-68. They would be drawn weekly and the winning ticket numbers were included in the MEN.

You got a book of 22 tickets and you paid for 20. You also collected 10% on any prize money. My dad worked at British Driver Harris in Bird Hall Lane in Cheadle Hulme and he sold some of the tickets for me.

Then one week we had three winners all from Driver Harris. After that he was besieged for tickets and I was coining it for weeks after that.

Saw this job (CFG, as opposed to "pure" City) but what a job it would be. Can imagine we are great employers

Has anyone here ever worked for City?
