Has anyone put their central heating on yet?

I just got home from a wee vacation, left wet cold and miserable to 86f at 5:45 pm

One hour each morning from 5.30 . It was 16C in my kitchen this morning. My old bones need it a bit warmer.

I am trying to avoid putting it on as long as possible. Already using more electricity now the days are getting shorter. Once the gas starts getting used the bills rocket. Also no heating allowance thanks to the new government.

Lit the fire last night, warm, welcoming and cosy....cant beat a log or coal fire.

My dashboard reckoned 8c this morning and I just know she's going to be demanding its on soon (Anything less than 20c is described as freezing so god knows what less than 10c is)

Put in yesterday just make sure it worked, bled the radiators back off, I’ve got a blanket instead.

I’ll be doing this soon for an hour as my boiler is due a service. Other than that though I don’t care how cold it gets, it’s not on until November at the absolute earliest.
