ever been to watch there national team,i used to go regularly,,met lads from all over ,one memorable one was hampden about 87 ,i think it was the first time england fans went up in numbers,it was chaos from getting off at glasgow central about 11 oclock, until getting back on the train,a real hatred towards us.had butterflies all day.

Used to follow Wales all over, can't be bothered with the national game anymore though.

seems like quite a lot of your countrymen feel the same way.

same here, used to go everywhere. I "retired" after germany 2006. Used to love going hampden on the rattler... very naughty but enjoyable times

my mate got 6 months in Barlynee jail after getting nicked that day, loads of English lads got nicked that day,i never went but went to wembley the following year and saw alot of trouble, used to go to a few England games in 80's/90's,don't bother any more

I used to be a fixture at Windsor for internationals, but after '86 the IFA started selling tickets for home games only in Belfast at a time when ordinary football supporters were at work, selling to the fur coat brigade, got out of the habit of going and never started again.
Seen some crap games in the late '70's with Home internationals against Wales taking place on a friday night and drawing crowds under 5,000 regularly.

Holland Vs England in Amsterdam. Was only 21 when i went. First England away game and first time in Amsterdam :) Great experience. Loved it.

Ended up going to Portugal in 2004 for the european championships and then the world cup in Germany in 2006.

First time was v Holland in 1988 (I think) - ended 2-2. Not a pleasant experience!

Watched England schoolboys in the 50's at Goodison, went to the old Wembley in the 80's to watch the U16s or U15s or what against France, but the nearest I've got to watching England live was Japan v Iceland at CoMS. Got stung for £12 for a couple of FA progs so I have terminated by England and FA days.
